Designed by Jørn Utzon, Bagsværd Church is a masterpiece of contemporary architecture in the outskirts of Copenhagen. Even though this is not the masterpiece of his works, the building has an intriguing exterior architecture which contrasts with the interior one. The austere concrete façades enclose various rooms and courtyards that prevails the inner organic details and the abstract cloud concept revealed in the roof shape.

The architect considered the daylight as esencial and designed soft curves to control the light and act as a visual masterpiece.

The simplicity lies in the minimalist expressions of shapes and textures.
